It was a relaxing semester which we had lots of holidays. Honestly, I did not study hard during this semester which I felt very guilty when I received the result for Communication and Culture. I did very badly for the assignments. Although we still have 70% for the final exam, I felt I did not try my best.

Someone said, it doesn’t matter how much we can get, but we need to try our best. It is pretty true. We don’t only need to try our best in studies, but for life also. Building a good relationship with friends, family members, lovers, classmates are much harder than the assignments we are doing for our studies. Sometimes, it is hard for us to control the situation, you may not do anything wrong but the relationship is spoiled. There are no such formulas that we can use for maintaining a good relationship with anybody, but if we have tried our best to treat everybody nice, at least the rate of spoiling the relationship is lower. Ha, am I talking about something that everybody has already known?

Today, I don’t have an angle for my article; the contents are quite contradictive and messy also. What I just finished talking about is trying our best for our lives, but my next point is that learn how to give up. Yes, we can’t be so greedy, sometimes, we need to give up certain things in order to maintain what we really need and value. There are opportunity costs everywhere in our lives, we don’t go for movie because of friends’ birthday party; we quite working because we want further education; we choose to break up with somebody because he is not the right one for us. So, giving up seems very useful for our lives which is the right decision when the time we need to choose. However, if it is so useful, why most of the people don’t give up. It is because people are greedy, they want everything. The demanding for human being is non-stopped. I am the greedy one also; I have never been satisfied for my life. I will never get bored on shopping, spending and partying. I always tell myself that I should do what I suppose to and spend on what I should spend. However, I still can’t keep my words. I am the lucky one, who was born in a well to do family, I am wondering whether I can survive if I have no money. Someone said people are matured earlier in a poor family, because they have more chances to experience the toughness of lives. It is true, sometimes we learn form experiences, so, I made a very big decision that I will spend 2/3 of my holiday to work in a training company to get more life experiences. And I hope it will make me matured.

Wake up, Malaysians

It is 2am in the morning; I am not sleepy at all. There are a few things bothering me for this few days. Heard about the china girl was raped and murdered a few days ago. I totally lost the secure feeling on this country. Felt so sorry for her because she just came to Malaysia for one month and was only 17 years old who just graduated from high school in china. She was from a well to do family that mother is a doctor and father is a business man from Hong Kong. What really made me angry was that policemen did not respect the body at all. She was naked and policemen did not use anything to cover her body when they were collecting her body. There were so many witnesses at that moment and policemen just carried her naked body to the car. Some newspaper took the pictures for the naked body and published them. I can’t imagine how hurtful when her parents know about that and I believe her soul did not pass away peacefully.

Basically, Malaysia is a developed country in terms of living standard. It is not an expensive country but most of the people have good quality of lives, relaxing working and studying environment. It supposes to be peaceful and safe in this tropical country. However, there is something wrong in this society. Government offices have poor working attitudes and policemen have low moral standard. There are two experiences that make me look down of Malaysian policemen. I went to replace my driving license last December, I reported that it was stolen in china, however the office typed that it was lost in subang jaya. I went to the police station at the second time to tell her that they made a mistake and because I cant understand Malay that’s why I did not tell them in the fist place. Surprisingly, they told me it was not a bit deal and they were lazy to change it. How terrible it was. And another case happened last month; we went to KL to celebrate friend’s birthday. The one who drove us were checked by the policemen and tested that she had too much alcohol. I believe to anybody who doesn’t know about law should know what a police man should do at this moment. Disappointingly, he asked money from us which was RM 350. Obviously it was too much for students, and finally they had a deal with 80 dollars. I saw people bargaining price in markets, stores or even in shopping centre. However, it was the 1st time I saw police bargaining with offence maker.

So, if the people who should maintain the good security of a country are making offence, how can a country to be peaceful and modem. I believe it is really a time for all Malaysia citizens to think about this issue and to do something about it. People are getting higher and higher education but the moral standards are dropping lower and lower. Selfishness and individualists become big barriers to maintain a well going society.

Love or sex?

One of my close friends had affair recently. I am surprised to find out that nobody around her criticized what she did except me. Someone said it always happens in this modern century which sex is only a physical need for everybody. She made a conclusion that sex is not equal to love. If her statement is true, I would like to have the answers for my two questions.

Firstly, can people simply find anyone fulfill their sexual satisfaction? I believe sex is an action between a couple who shares a common feeling –love. I agree if love exists, there is nothing to be feared. Love makes two people closer, it doesn’t matter there are any demographic differences. I always support my friends go ahead to find their love without judging outcomes too much. However, if there is no love involves, can people still simply find anyone to fulfill their sexual satisfaction? If we say yes, then are there any differences between animals and human beings. I used to see three male dogs share a female dog and nobody questions about that which is because animals are less intelligent and cooler blood.

Secondly, is it acceptable that couples have affair before marriage? It seems very obvious that the answer is wrong. But if one party can’t satisfy their partners in terms of sex, will u give a different answer for my question? There are many people have affair duel to the sexual dissatisfaction. They said sexual dissatisfaction is suffering, but is cheating more unacceptable? I don’t want to discuss it further which I would like you to share your opinions with me.

I Donated Blood Today

Today I did something first in my life, I donated blood. Until now I still can not believe that I actually did that. I believe it is an unforgettable and meaningful experience. This blood donation is organized by a Buddhist center in Old Klang Road. There were quite a number of people contributed their blood. Hopefully, what we did today can save people’s lives.

Time passes very fast, a weekend has already passed, tomorrow will be a new start. Honestly, some of the subjects are very boring; I don’t know whether the subjects make the lectures boring or the lecturers make the subject not interesting. Anyway, just felt quite suffering sitting in the classroom in the afternoon and listening to something I can not understand.

Being a free thinker, I still don’t know how powerful religion is. I had never spent time with any of the religious people in my first 20 years life. Sometimes, I just don’t understand why people believe in something which cannot be explained by science. After I came to Malaysia, religion seems so common that almost everybody is practicing. Someone said people can have no life companions but need religion. Is that true?

So, how does religion affect everybody’s life? Is it a tool for people to solve problems, be compassion, or think positively? What I am thinking about may be not deep enough that it may have some unbelievable power that I have not dreamt about. But what I concern about is whether religion will occupied other elements in people’s life, such as, love, family, wealth and so on. Does a religious person offer less emotion in a relationship? One of my friend said he does not believe love is something can be maintain forever after he became a Buddhist. He spends most of his time in doing his religious staff after working and neglects what his girl friend wants. So, will the relationship have a bright future?

A new starting

I did not write anything for my blog for a long time. I feel a bit guilty of being a journalism students because I even I cannot persist in writing for my blog. So, I hope it is a good start that I can share views of my life with everybody everyday.

I am quite happy with my degree program because of two reasons. Firstly, the timetable is very relaxing that I don’t need to rush to college in every early morning. Secondly, I have a lot of close friends are taking the same course with me. Yeah, I can stay away from lonely, it is horrible that people feel lonely in overseas.

I am a bit addicted by drinking alcohol. It is all because of my wonderful trip in my hometown shanghai. I drank almost everyday and it was so nice to drink together with friends while we were talking about our boyfriends, lives and futures. So, I am still maintaining this new habit, drink a bit before I go to bed. It is wonderful, not believe? Try it.

Do u believe in love? Don’t laugh at me if I say yes. I understand it is a material society, love seems not so crucial in most of the people’s lives (one of my friend’s theory). However, I still believe love is the only thing that cannot be count by money, isn’t it? I have seen many people consider material is the major element in maintaining their relationship. It may be the smart choice, but not the best choice. Anybody agree with me?

I watched a lot of Korean drama when I was in shanghai, although many people say that it is wasting my time, I was touched by the romance and the cordial love. I believe every girl dreams about have a wonderful loving experience, so do I. I still remember I dreamt to fall in love with Andy Law, ha ha. Don’t laugh. I hoped to spend my whole life with somebody I really love. I am proud to tell all of you, that I may found my “MR right”. (Unfortunately, he is not Andy.) Although we went out for 3 years, I just realized how much I love him a few days ago. I hope it’s not too late.

I miss my parents

Hi, I am back from holidays. It is the third biggest city in the world which you will never be satisfied with your little crops if you don’t know how to travel smart.

Public transportations in Shanghai

Shanghai is the third biggest city in the world which has convenient public transportations.

Taxi:
Taxi is the easiest way for foreigners to travel around in shanghai because it is very easy to lose the way in this big city if you are not familiar. The taxi in Shanghai is very clean and always air conditioned. The service of taxi drivers is very good which always be praised by thousands of tourists. They must be uniformed and the receipt must be issued to the customers. However, the drivers rarely speak English, it is important to bring the hotel address and telephone numbers along with you. Once you get on the taxi, please show to address as soon as possible. If you want to stop in a busy road, make sure you position yourself in a place where they can easily stop. The taxi fare starts at 10yuan(RM 5) and raised quite slowly in 1yuan increments. 15 minute trips seemed to rarely go above 25yuan (RM 12.5).

Trains:
It is the best way to travel if you understand Chinese or have local companions because it is cheap, clean, air conditioned, fast and convenient. The Shanghai maps within the trains are labeled in English, but the ticketing stations at the stations are not. Therefore, if you don’t understand Chinese, it is not a good idea to travel by train alone. However, Shanghai people are very helpful and friendly, they won’t refuse to direct your ways and most of the young people understand simply English. The frequency was incredible, there seem to be a train coming along about every 2 minutes. There are 7 lines in the city which are very convenient. It is also the most popular public transportations among the local citizens. The tickets are from 3yuan to 6yuan (RM1.5-RM3).

Buses:
The buses are certainly easy to jump on and off but working out where one is going isn’t easy if you can’t read Chinese too. There are very cheap,2yuan (RM1) if it is air conditioned and 1yuan (50sens) if it isn’t. If you want to experience typical Shanghai culture and view around this beautiful city without paying a lot, taking a bus from west to east is a good try.

Tourist Attractions:
Shanghai is divided by Huangpu river into west and east which are called Pu Xi and Pu Dong. There are many historical and foreign styles’ buildings in the west which called " World’s Fair of Architectures". On the other hand, the east is a totally new area which fulfills new architectures. I would like to introduce some of wonderful tourists attractions which you must go.

Oriental Pearl Tower
By far the best way to get an idea of the size of the city and to get your bearings is to visit the observation deck of the Orient Pearl Tower, one of the tallest towers in the world which the height is 468 meters. It is better to view the whole city form the tower in a sunny day because you can get a clearer view.

Bund
The Bund is the name given to a long trip of classical European buildings on the Huangpu River. The old buildings look like the architects were trying to outdo each other with the grandeur of the designs. Most of the buildings now seem to be the Shanghai headquarters for international banks. The best time of going to the Bund is in the evening before 10pm because the Shanghai government set up the rules that the lights in every building near by the Bund cannot be switched off before 10pm in order to maintain a good image of the city at night.

Jin Mao Mansion
It is another famous building in Pudong New Area which next to Oriental Pearl Tower. There 88 floor which is a super 5 stars hotel above the fifth floor. The design is a little similar with the Twin Towers in Malaysia.

People Square
It is the second biggest square in China which is good to spend a day , it includes the museum, art gallery, the building of shanghai government, theatre as well as being at one end of a major shopping strip. It is also conveniently located above the People Square train station. The shanghai museum is a traditional museum which is full of real exhibits, typically of a traditional and historic nature. There are English and other languages commentary hired to introduce on the most of the exhibits.

Shopping:

Nanjing Road:
There are more than 20 shopping complexes on the road which only allowed viewing by foot. It is the one of the most happening area in Shanghai which gathering people who are from everywhere of the world. It is also the most convenient place to shop because you can walk around to search the best products without taking transportation. The products are categorized by high, middle and low prices which suits every tourists. If you want to buy Shanghai typical snacks, Nanjing Road is the best place to go.

Xiang Yang Road Market
It is a famous international market which attracts thousands of foreigners. It is a place for you to buy the world’s most famous brands of clothing, shoes, bags and watches without paying a super high price. Since China has been the world biggest manufacture country which produce famous brands of clothes, shoes and bags, the cost of the famous branded products are actually much lower compared to the market price. There are many products are knock-offs and factory outlet. These brands are Diesel, Nike, Rolex, Gucci, Prata and so on. However, bargaining the price is still important. Whatever you buy, it is better not pay anything half of the first price. Furthermore, beside the cheap genuine goods, they are also many faked goods which look extremely the same with the original ones. Lastly, never follow those who attempt to sell you good outside of the markets. Typically, they charge much higher than the market.

Food
Shanghai is a city gathering delicious food from everywhere of the world. The Shanghai typical food tastes lighter and a bit sweet. There are two types of Shanghai food which must be tried.

Firstly, Xiao Long Bao (Little Dragon Bun):
The little dragon bun is one of the famous dish in Shanghai. Unlike the buns in northern China, these buns are very small and easy to swallow. The buns are usually steamed in containers made of bamboo. The skin of the buns is very thin and the bun is very juicy. The dish is now popularized and consumed widely throughout China as a Dim Sum.

Secondly: Da Zha Xie (Hairy Crab):
Da Zha Xie is a special type of crab found in rivers, and is normally consumed in the winter. The crabs are tied with ropes or strings, placed in bamboo containers, steamed and served. There is little artificial ingredient added to the dish yet it tastes fantastically good. Da Zha Xie is usually consumed with vinegar. Locals are also quite fussy about when to consume male crabs and when to consume female crabs.

Censorship has no place in research

I am so disappointed that Miss Malam changed her mind and asked us to cancel the interview section for our research. In my opinion the best ways of finding students' attitudes and behaviors are observation and interview. They are the most accuracy methods which we can find the result objectively. I have done a lot of researches by survey questionnaire which failed to achieve my objectives. I found that most of the responders just simply tick the answers because they are either busy or lazy. So, let us come to the basic point, what is the purpose of doing researches? Are they only assignments for students to pass their subjects or for lecturers to get their salaries without worries?

I have a high expectations of my Social Psychology is not only because I want to score high marks but also the findings of my research. It is so interesting if I can find the actual result of "The Students’ Behaviors and Attitudes of Taylor’s". I believe most of my term members and managements do so as well.

I am just not satisfied with the Malaysian way of life which is too much of "Qin Cai". Sometimes, living in a relaxing ways is an enemy of progress. Ok, I have to stop here, I am stressed up with dozens of my assignments.

just college

It was a sleepy day which I did not concentrated in classes. I am a bit relaxing after I won the debate yesterday. Debate was a very good experience which examined my language, public speaking skill and self confidence. Thank God that I was a tour-guide in Shanghai that I had been practicing Public speaking skill for 3 years. I was not nervous at all in debating but I still have to improve my Spoken English. Anyway, it was a good try. Michael asked me to join their term to debate for the final competition which made me so surprised. I am definitely happy because they are super good in writing and speaking, if they wanted me join their term, my debating skill has been considered and remarked. I am still thinking about whether I am going to join or not….

Miss Natasha had a long talk with us about the relationship between boyfriends and girlfriends. I agree with her through my experiences that once you are abandoned by a guy, don’t go back to him again, even he cries you are only one he is going to marry. My personal suggestion is that go traveling after the separation. You do have the rights to be sad, but the duration of being depressed has to be controlled. Life is wonderful; I guarantee that you will find someone better.

Doing some research about my hometown Shanghai for feature writing, I am so surprised to find so many stylish places have been built since I came to Malaysia. I would like to share some with all of you next time. According to China Daily these pictures are about the negative effects of smoking such as a mouthful of rotten teeth, diseased organs, a limp baby and a smoker on his dead body covered half of each pack. This anti-smoking campaign in Singapore is really appreciative, however it is not effective. The reasons are that these pictures are too familiar and common for Singaporeans, smokers are not easily influenced by visual effects and there are better solutions better than that.

Firstly, these pictures are too common and familiar for Singaporean; therefore, they are not scary enough for prevention. Singapore government puts on a lot of efforts in anti-smoking. Cigarette prices have risen regularly, tobacco advertisements have been banned since the 1970s and anti-smoking advertisements are broadcasted through mass media everyday. Unfortunately, official statistics say the number of smokers is still increasing. Some of the Singaporean smokers said "noting on the box will stop us if we really want to smoke,", "smokers already know the harmful effects of smoking." These are some of the interviewees response to China Daily. Therefore, it will not decrease the number of smokers by showing the scary pictures.

Secondly, smokers are addicted both physically and psychologically, scary pictures are not a scientific solution. Singapore already bans smoking in public transport, elevators, theaters, government offices, air-conditioned restaurants and shopping centre. However, the number of smokers is still increasing. Tobacco is a form of drugs which cannot be easily quitted. Some of the smokers try to quit smoking for dozens of times, however, the successful cases are very few. The failure one says that once he smells and sees others are smoking, he cannot control himself to smoke. At that time, negative effects on health are not in his mind; instead, it fulfills the wonderful feeling of smoking.

Lastly, Singaporean need law to ban smoking but not selling cigarettes with scary pictures. Singapore is a very interesting nation which can find a prostitute easily but impossible to get a chewing-gum. Why? It is because of the powerful law. Singapore law is so controlling that makes every Singaporean live in a special way compared with other nationalities. Therefore, ban cigarettes is the best way of stop smoking compared with all of the preventions. Smokers are very similar with drug adductors, once they are addicted, they are very hard to be quitted. If there was no law to ban drugs, drugs would be as popular as cigarettes in the society. Cigarettes are the same thing around. Therefore, the best prevention of stopping smoking is banning cigarettes but not selling cigarettes with scary pictures.

Smoking is a serious problem all over the world. There are millions of people are dying by smoking as well as second hand smoking. It is important to find some other effective solutions to decrease the number of smokers because put scary pictures on cigarettes are not powerful enough.

From Dieting to Eating Disorder

An English woman called Lori Varecka who is 44 years old with three children hid her bouts of starving and purging for more than 2 decades. She had a skinny figure which the weight is 170cm and the height is 42kg. By the year 1997, she shared her problem and illness with her mum and husband; she was suggested to see doctors. Eventually, the doctor examined she was having one of the most serious mental illness- Eating Disorder. There are thousands of cases happen every year like Lori Varecka all over the world. Eating Disorder is a kind of disease has serious physical and psychological consequences. The patients suffers eating disorders have the skinny figures, thinning hair and skin and unhealthy eating habit which lead cardiac problems and osteoporosis. It is important to understand the causes, signs and solutions in order to help eating disorder patients to go back to normal lives.

There are two major causes lead eating disorder which are anorexic and bulimia. Many people who are suffering eating disorders see themselves as overweight though they are dangerous thin. Anorexics severely restrict their calories. Bulimics binge either by vomiting or by taking laxatives. Both of the patients have a common dream for perfect bodies. Many women who have eating disorders are quite frequently intelligent. They are high achievers whom we could consider perfect women. Princess Diana suffered bulimia for many years. She vomited out everything after every meal to kept slim body. Eventually, she felt the serious illness after the unhealthy diet for few months. Teen actress Mary-Kate Olsen has reportedly entered a programmer for treatment of anorexic and Victoria Adams was reported that she was having food disorder as well.

What are the signs of eating disorders and how serious are they? Well, you well be scared that in one study that followed patients of 18-20 percent of the woman died by eating disorders especially the patients after 30 years old. The signs of eating disorders are that resistance to maintaining body weight at or above a minimally normal weight for age and height. They fear of gaining weight or being fat, even though they are under weight. Eating disorder patients usually start with unhealthy eating habits such as: eating extremely less, picking out a few foods, avoiding rice, meat and other solid food and using many ways to make them vomit out what ever they have eaten after every meal. It takes sometimes to forget about starving. Usually after three months of eating disordering they will feel lonely, bored, depressed, angry, frustrated or stressed instead of hungry.

Eating disorder is a serious disease which causes death. The patients are suffering both mentally and physically. The best way of recovering the illness is that combines psychological and physical treatments. It is very important to see a good doctor who can wake the patients up and let them know the consequences of their illness. The duration of the treatments is quite long and requires the patients to motivate. Some of the patients are in and out of the programs for many times because they are not aware of the illness, lacking of confidence and supports. Therefore, the supports from family members, friends and doctors are crucial. Outside factors directly affect the patients’ motivations. It is good that family members have meals together, talk to each other in order to gain understanding and trusts.

Life is wonderful. It is so sorry to see people are suffering from huger. If you are the one who afford to eat, please enjoy the food because you are the lucky one to have food.

Hiding the Past is Shameful

The War between US and Iraq, the incidents of Spanish train bombing and September 11 cause thousands of children lost their parents and wives lost their husbands. These incidents are written as histories in publishers such as books, magazines as well as in our memory for ever. However, how about the War between Japan and China? The Japanese soldiers’ monstrous crimes cannot be forgotten no matter how the Japanese government changes the school history text books. Although the Japanese’s torture and violence were extremely disgusting and hatred, the government’s irresponsible and guilty action is even more abominable. I strongly against that Japan hide the history because it is unfair to the victims, causes negative effects of new generation of Japan and bad for international relationship.

Firstly, the war between Japan and China cannot be removed from every Chinese’s memory which likes horror dreams always wakes us up. Millions of Chinese were killed in various ways in the war. Some of the old generations say that the victims who were killed by bombing and guns were lucky because they skipped various ways of tortures. Most of the women were raped and forced to be prostitutes before they died. Some of the women who escaped from Japanese military after the war are still alive who say they will never forgive what they had been tortured by Japanese soldiers. A few of them were not accepted by their families and villages because they were seemed dirty, therefore they have been isolated for whole lives. Unit 731 is a medical experimental centre in Harbin, in China which performed medical experiments and germ-warfare researches on prisoners. At that moment, Chinese prisoners were used as human guinea-pigs who were applied uncapped test tubes of bubonic plague bacteria (Tashiro, 1999). The incident of 300,000 Chinese were killed in 15 days in Nan Jing in 1936 which was very proud by the Japanese soldiers who won the murder competitions. It is unbelievable that Japan dares to change the history when they are surrounding by the records of their monstrous behaviors. It is necessary for Japanese government to face the mistakes and apologize to the victims. Otherwise, the ghosts of victims will be still alive and they will never be rest in peace.
Secondly, the purpose of hiding the history by Japanese government is that they do not want the young generations know the shameful past. Most of the Japanese students know the stories of Japanese wars form the fevered drawings of a nationalistic cartoonist-Yashinori Kobayashi but not from the school test books. His cartoons are very popular among the students especially university students. Nowadays, most of the young Japanese wearing Army khakis and boots as a fashion statement and say that they are proud of their grandfathers who fought very well in the wars. (Macintyre, Sakamaki and Tashiro, 1999). There are a few non-governmental organizations from China actually invited the Japanese soldiers who fought in the war between China and Japan to narrate the wars in universities, but most of the students either were not interested in listening or didn’t believe what they talked. Some of the socialists worry that Japan hides the mistakes may lead to other mistakes, because most of the Japanese people don’t look at the wars critically. It is very dangerous because the young generations have already shown their attitudes towards to the war between US and Iraq which some of them seen war as a rolling tool which cannot be skipped form civilizations. It shows that Japan has the responsible to teach children histories tell them what happened and leave them to judge, otherwise, it will seriously and negatively affect youths’ moral standards.

Lastly, if Japan keeps on hiding the history of the war, it will cause bad international relationship between China and Japan. If Japan likes German who felt regret for their mistakes they had made in World War II and asked for forgiveness, the anti-Japan situation in China will be better. There are many non-governmental Anti-Japanese Products campaigns hold in many cities in China every year. A separate petition, which is against using Japanese "bullet train" technology for the new rail link between Beijing and Shanghai, may also be presented to the embassy.( Lam, 2003) Most of the old generations feel abominable when they see Japanese who are working and traveling in China. The marriage between Chinese and Japanese are still unacceptable in most of the families in China. We are in a modern society, racial unity and building good international relationships seem as important issues which we should concern about. However, if Japan does not want to face the mistakes they made in 50 years ago, how do they require China to accept this cool-blood nation? It is also impossible to build good relationship better the Chinese and Japanese.

History is our past and tells where we come form which cannot be forgotten and erased. The war has passed, what we should emphasis now is that what we can learn from the past. Like Japan keeps Jeisha and Sumo in the society, they should remind the young generations what happened in the past all the time.

think before you talk

A lot of people thought they know everything but actually they know nothing. Malaysian are very nice people, but sometimes they like to talk about things they don't know or things they think they know but actually they don't. It is like the malay say"a frog under the coconut shell". The world has changed and is still changing very fast. Many things have happened which they don't know. It's saddened me to see this, especially when the people who say this are my friends.

Take for example, my country--China. Over the last ten years, we are now one of the world most powerful economic forces. Our average income is higher than Malaysian, especially the coastal cities, like Shanghai, Shenzhen, Zhuhai. However, many malaysians still think that China is a big kampung! China will soon be the host of the Olympic games, so it tells you what kind of country we have become.

So, my dear Malaysian friends, don't think that China is still very backwards. In fact, for many chinese people, Malaysia is developing very slow.

I am saying this not because I want to insult my Malaysian friends, but I just want to make my point that before you say something you should at least check the facts.

If you don't believe me, welcome to next Olympic game in Beijing at 2008. Hope you won't lose the way back to your Kampung.

I passed the driving theory test

Hi! I am back! I am very happy to tell everyone of you I have passed the driving theory test. It was a tough time for me to get through all the difficulties to get the L licence. I realize the real happiness comes from sadness. I used to wish I would be happy very day. However, my dear boyfriend always tells me if there is no sadness, people will not appriciate the happiness. Yes, it is ture. If i had passed the test at the first so easily, I won't be so happy and appriciative when I get the L licence. There are two sides of a coin, it is better for us to look at the positive side because it leads us to a better life. There are many obsticals in our lives which cannot be controlled. However, if we think positively and objectively, we will find a easy way to cope the problems. Sometime, it is good to have some difficulties in our lives, otherwise, lives are not so interesting and colourful. It is simple that if we have never study hard for exams, we won't get the happiness of graduation.

studying is not suffering

I like watching movie, especially watching movie alone at home. It is extremely comfortable to sit in sofa with a cup of warm fruit tea and some snacks to watch my favorite movies. I feel so freedom. Freedom in terms of choosing movies; expresses my emotions; I can laugh, scream, cry anytime without feeling embarrassed.
My mum said that I could be a very good actress in Taiwan Drama because I can cry anytime. I cry for reasons, I cry for happiness, sadness, separations, homesick, and so on .However, I realized I cry for movies for the most of the times. I do not like to watch touching movie in cinema because I don’t want to wash my face with tears in public. I had a very embarrassed experience that I did not stop crying until the movie ended. I felt so shy to go out because my eyes, nose, face were so red and swollen. Want to know the name of the movie? Tears of the sun. Surprised? Not so touching right? A lot of people said that.
However, I am glad that I always cry for movies because it makes me become more understanding and compassion. After I joined Journalism course, I started thinking everything deeper. I spend more time to think about the causes and effects apart from
Watching and reading. It is a very easy and fast way to become mentally mature. Obviously, I love my major. I have decided that I would continue my degree within the same major and the same college. Do you have the same feeling? If yes, I am very happy to meet you again in degree. But if you are not happy with your major, do not worry, life doesn’t afraid of changes. Who are my friends? I always ask myself these questions. I defines a friend is a person who always be honest to you. I do not like a person purposely say something good to praise me which is not true. “You are very nice, you are very pretty, and you look like from Japan.” Do you think it is too faked to a person who is very close with you? Instead of that, I’d rather to hear, “Liu Fang, today’s make up does not suit you, it is too heavy for college.” I guaranty you that I will appreciate it very much. Remember, not everybody will be so honest to you. And be aware of her purpose. If you think she is trying to embarrass you, you are the most stupid person in the world because she is the most accurate mirror for you. If you ignore her and pretended you have never heard about that, you are the most brainless person because she is the person who does not want you to be embarrassed among the public.

A friend also always understands you without talking. It is very important because a lot of people cannot understand each other by talking extremely a lot. I really appreciate a person who knows my personality and does not give me that kind of sour face when she is frustrated at me. Understanding is based on communication, if you don’t have good communication, how do we require understanding. So, be patient to your friend, explain the points slowly, don’t always think you are correct all the time and accept people good advices.

I don’t like a person who does not have responsibilities for her friends. My landlord who always disappoints me because I consider her is my friend. I don’t promise anyone if I cannot do that, because I understand the person will be very up sad if I cannot make the promise. Instead of that, why don’t you just openly tell your friends you cannot make it? You friends will not get angry because of that, otherwise she is not your friend but only makes uses of you. Here, I really want to share one of my friends Deborah with all of you. She is such a nice and helpful girl. She helps me a lot and remembers what she promises me. Ha Ha….. I am very guilty to say I even forgot about borrowing Cleo from her, but she passed that to me this morning. How sweat she is.
Through my personal experiences that everyone can make thousands friends, but among all of them who are your real friends? If you do have some, please appreciate them

lonely weekend!

Weekend, nomally is the best time for me, because I always have plenty of time to do what ever I want to do during the weekend. I really don't know what happended because acccording to what Jaslyn said that the tickets were booked.
I thought saterday would become better, however,it was the same. I thought I made appointment with my friend to go shopping, but she even did not give me call. Ok, it was fine. I don't need people to accompany, I went shopping alone. I spent all my money to shop, that was quite crazy, but happy. I got 41 for my driving theory text. If I can get one more correct, I can pass it. I felt really angry after I got the result because it is really unfair. During the text, the examiner gave tips to one of the participant. Obviously he is Malay. How ridiculous it is. After I got my result, I tried to talk to the examiner. I explained that I am student and it is very hard for me to skip class to attend this text again. Obviously that was helpless. Ok, it is fine if your rules and regulations are very strict, but how do explain that you gave tips to others.

Honestly, l lost my confidence of this country, sometimes. The rules in Malaysia are not consistent, people are racist (some of them). I still clearly remember the first time I came to this country. The custom office in the airport refused me to attend this country; I just could not understand that if you did not allow me to come here, what the point to give me visa is.

Same thing happen to me to apply job. I call to Malaysia air to apply cabin crew. The officer said if I am a Chinese I should go back to China to apply. How stupid it is. Since I am in Malaysia, you are looking for people to join and most importantly, you accept Chinese, but why do you make things so troublesome. If you are stupid, ok, find, we cannot require low IQ people to do something smart. But if you are just lazy, I am sorry for you, you will be lost in this society. You will always be the bottom of the society.

Don’t always raise the democratic flag; you are not democratic at all. Don’t always look down communism country; I suggest you to buy an air ticket to my hometown shanghai to have a look. You will be very impressed. We are not poor like what you think, we are not uneducated like you think, and we are not impolite like what you think. Surprisingly, the people are harder working, living expenses are more expensive, people are more fashionable, and transportations are more advanced. And sorry, the tallest building of the world is not in Malaysia that is in shanghaied. (I have never argued this before because I know what respect is.)

I am sorry to say something bad about Malaysia, but I just cannot control myself. However, I am sure there are still many nice people here, like Deborah, Jaslyn, Jay, Alex, Joan, Kelly, Joy my boyfriend Eng Ghee. If I am here without you guys, I think I will be come crazy.

I love you guys.

purpose of studying

What is my purpose of studying? I am very upsad becasue my writing skill hasnot improved so much although I have been in malaysia for more than two years. It is very awful for a journalist to find out she cannot write. There are so many writing assignments to pass up. It is a very good time for me to practice my Writing. However, sometimes I just feel it is very hard to express myself. My language is always so dry.Can anybody give me some tips?
I will attend driving theory text tomorrow. surprisingly, I do not feel scare at all, is it a good condition for me?
Here,I need to thank for my friend Deborah. She really helped me a lot to ceate this blog. Deborah thank you!
Finally, we have finished watching the movie 'Farenhait 9/11'. In my opinion, it is a nice movie becasue it catches audiences attention and very pursuasive. At least, I believe some parts of the movie, such as the interviews of the US soldiers. However, being a joornalism student, i cannot simplily agree and believe with the media. We always have to think critically. I went to the some of the charting rooms in US websites. A lot of audiences gave their commands. Most of the commands are nagative, it may becasue all of the US people still cannot accept the way Michale Moore talks about their country and president.
However, being an American, they should think this issue more critically than anybody else. It is the crucial issue which is related with their country.
Ok, i am like the unclosed water tap keep on talk nonsence. I should go to bed to rest. Hope I can pass the stupid driving theory text tomorrow.

a busy weekend

Since the final semester started, i have never enjoied my weekend. It is an extremely stressful term which requires me to write a lot. Miss Natasha seemed to drain out all my juice already. I have no idea how to finish writing two journals for this weekend. What to do?

I will attend computer driving text next tuesday. Although I have finished reviewing all the 500 questions, I am still not ready for it. I think it happens to everyone who wants to get driving license in overseas.

Today is sunday, sales is very attactive, but I still have to do my home work at home. How said is it? Haha, maybe i should think in the other way, I am the lucky one because i am not wasting the most expensive thing in my life--time.

A New Start

hi,
I just start my web blog today 16 of July.
